"Garden Talk" - Hell Strip Plantings

Join the Genesee County Master Gardeners for our monthly garden series “Garden Talk.” Taught by Master Gardeners, programs will be held during the “lunch hour” from 12:15 to 12:45 pm on the first Thursday of the month. Bring your lunch and join us at the Cooperative Extension office. This series is free and open to the public, no registration is required.
Join us on May 2nd as we discuss Hell Strip Plantings. The hell strip, the area between the street and the sidewalk, is a challenge to many gardeners. Most are sparse and weed-ridden zones plagued by road salt in the winter and dry, baked soil in the summer. Learn how to avoid the typical pitfalls with hell strips so you can transform yours into a lush and welcoming garden.
