Garden Talk "Growing Cool Season Flowers"

  • Thursday, August 4, 2022, 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM

Want more early blooming flowers in your garden? Try growing cool season flowers. Cool flowers, also known as hardy annuals, live for one year and can survive cold temperatures. These hardy flowers can be planted in the fall, will overwinter and then bloom in the spring or early summer. Planting in the fall allows these flowers to establish a strong root system, which results in plants that will bloom earlier, have longer stem length and produce high quality flowers. Learn which flowers you can fall plant in our area for spectacular late spring/early summer blooms.

There is now an in-person option at the CCE Genesee office, 420 East Main St., Batavia. If you would like to attend the program in-person please Register by contacting Mandy at 585-343-3040 x101 or email amm532@cornell.edu. Space is limited for the in-person option so registration is required!
