Master Preserver Canning Series: Fruit Jelly

Making jelly is a delicious way to preserve fruit—and this hands-on class will guide you through the entire process. You'll start by learning how to extract juice from fruit, then move step-by-step through adding sugar, pectin, and optional spices to turn it into beautifully clear jelly. Participants will also enjoy tastings of some unique and unexpected jelly flavors! Recipes and instructions will be provided.

Class size is limited to 12 adults. Pre-registration and payment are required. No walk-ins.

Instructor: Catherine Johnston, Master Food Preserver Volunteer with Genesee County Cornell Cooperative Extension. With over 38 years of teaching experience and advanced training from Cornell, Catherine offers expert guidance in food preservation.
