Garden Talk - "Plants in Gothic Literature"

Gothic literature embodies stories filled with an atmosphere of mystery and gloom. Authors of this genre from the 18th century to contemporary times use plants to symbolize death, decay, transformation as well as to capture a general mood of foreboding.
Join Master Gardener Connie B. for this program as she explores the plants utilized symbolically by well-known gothic authors, such as Poe and Shelley, to enhance their storytelling.
