Finding Wildlife

We are fortunate to have many great places to see wildlife in Genesee County!  Here are a few suggestions:

Iroquois National Refuge, Basom
Genesee County Park, East Bethany
Bergen Swamp, Bergen

Feeding Wildlife- Just say no!

Numerous problems can arise from intentionally feeding wildlife. See the following resource from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation for more info.
Feeding Wildlife: A Wrong Choice (external link)

With few exceptions, it is illegal to feed deer in NYS. The NYS DEC has a great resource to find out more!

What's that Skull?

In the course of exploring nature, you may have come across animal skulls. These resources might be helpful in beginning to identify your discovery!
